Project Overview

The UAE's largest independent auto parts distributor needed to move from phone and WhatsApp-based ordering to a modern e-commerce platform that could serve both B2B (garages, workshops) and B2C (car owners) customers. With 180,000+ SKUs across 3 warehouses, the challenge was building a search and catalogue system that made it easy to find the exact part for any vehicle.

We developed a platform featuring VIN-based vehicle lookup — customers enter their vehicle identification number or select make/model/year, and the system filters the entire catalogue to show only compatible parts. B2B customers get tiered pricing, credit terms, and bulk ordering capabilities, while B2C customers see retail prices and pay at checkout. Real-time inventory is synced across all 3 warehouses with availability and estimated delivery shown per item.

The backend integrates with the client's existing ERP for order processing, invoicing, and inventory management, eliminating double-entry and reducing fulfilment errors. A WhatsApp ordering bot handles orders from customers who prefer messaging, automatically creating orders in the system. The platform launched with full Arabic and English support and achieved AED 8M in online revenue within its first year.
